Implementation of Manufacturer Resource Planning System

​Responsible for successfully implementing a small scale MRP system for a vehicle manufacturer.

The result of this was a vast increase in efficiency in the parts acquisition side of the business, with much fewer repeat orders and production delays due to the lack of necessary components. I was almost singlehandedly responsible for researching, implementing, and troubleshooting this system, with data entry personnel working under myself when necessary.

This involved setting up a server network with a catalogue of over 100 suppliers and a variety of products from each, synchronised across all office computers. It allowed us to easily create purchase orders and invoices, as well as keep track of both active and complete orders, quickly calculate costings, as well as plan ahead for items needed for upcoming orders with long lead times.
